The family announces her peaceful passing at the Hornepayne Community Hospital on Tuesday March 26th 2024 at the age of 60 years. Beloved partner of Jean Paul Legresley and dearest mother of Jennifer Ann Whiteman (Ricardo) of Bradford On, Cassandra Dawn Timpano (Paul) of Belle River On and James Kenneth Roman (Jessica) of Hornepayne On. She is survived by her mother Doris Allen (nee Nash), her sister Heidi Verrino of Hornepayne ON, brother Derek Allen (Lori) of Hornepayne On and Brother Jody Allen (Janice) of Traverse Bay Mb. She will be sadly missed by her 8 grandchildren Kiera, Brianna, Zephaniah, Landen, Callen, Nicolas, Jade and Jahkiah her 6 nieces and nephews Chad, Joey, Chase, Jordann, Mystie and Sarah and her 6 great nieces and nephews Leo, Carter, Camden, Austen, Piper and Wrigley. She is predeceased by her father Joseph Neville Allen and brother in law Tony Verrino.

Dawn was born in Hearst On, on October 3rd 1963 at Notre Dame Hospital, she was also known as Waggy, Sissy or Earthquake. Dawn was happiest when her creative juices were flowing whether that be wood working with her dad, craft or card nights with the ladies or baking with her grandchildren. She loved making greeting cards, painting and doing crafts, so many people have been touched by her work and are blessed to have it as a keepsake. Dawn was a hard worker, she started working at a young age as a waitress/cook at 4 Stevens restaurant then hired on at Haavaldsrud’s Timber company as an equipment operator running the 80 cruise air unloading logging trucks. She finished her career at the Hornepayne Community Hospital as an activity coordinator and advocate for the seniors of our community. While these were her main jobs, Dawn had many side gigs such as babysitter, bartender, cake decorator, worm picker ( Her best was 60 dozen in one night) , craft store owner and mail delivery. She loved the outdoors, fishing, quading with her sister meister, bottle hunting and foraging for mushrooms. Dawn enjoyed cooking for her friends and family and always had a tableful, making preserves with Heidi and spending time at the camp on Larkin Lake. She loved her family unconditionally and always gave and thought of others before herself. The family is overwhelmed by all the kind words and memories that everyone has shared of Dawn. A celebration of life was held in Hornepayne On. at the Royal Canadian Legion Br.194 on Saturday March 30th 2024. The Family would like to generously thank everyone who provided us with food, donations and offered us their love and support during this difficult time.
