Barbara Firman

Barbara Edith Firman (nee Albert)
May 7, 1925 - August 11, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the Hornepayne Community Hospital with family by her side.
Barb was born in Barrie, Ontario and raised by her loving mother.  She met the love of her life Ken Firman and married August 19, 1946.  After relocating to Hornepayne, their first son Brian was born in 1947 and 5 years later, in 1952, welcomed their second son Ken.
Barb was an active member of St. Luke's Anglican Church and the Sunshine Club.
Barb and Ken enjoyed many years at their cottage at Nagagamisis Lake with their children and grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her mother Emma Albert, her sisters Ruby & Joyce, her husband Ken and her daughter-in-law Jane.
She leaves behind her children; Brian (Deeanna) and Ken (Pat), grandchildren; Steven, Lindsay, Glendon and Kendra and long term friend Marian Priest.
The family wishes to thank the Hornepayne Community Hospital, Dr. Cameron and Dr. Kale and the amazing nursing and PSW staff for their dedication and compassionate care over the last 6 years.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at 11am at St. Luke's Anglican Church in Hornepayne, Ontario followed by interment at the Hornepayne Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to enjoy refreshments and fellowship at St. Luke's Anglican Church following the interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hornepayne Community Hospital - Long Term Care Activities Department.
