Eulogio "Bot" Gutierrez

With heavy hearts, we announce that Eulogio “Bot” Clavel Gutierrez, 59, of Marathon, Ontario - a veteran mining survey technician of 30 years, beloved husband, father, friend, mentor and colleague – tragically passed away on November 27 at 10:30am EST due to an industrial workplace accident. Bot is survived by the love of his life and wife of 36 years, Marilou “Malou” Fabello Gutierrez; his son, Eugene, daughter-in-law, Elaine, and grand-kids Eleanor and Evelyn; his daughter, Michelle and son-in-law, Dean, and grand-puppy, Molly; his siblings, Tony (Fe), Sylvia (Jose), Romeo (Josie), Nimfa (Ed), Tess (Joe), and Dea (Ronnie); many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, relatives, and numerous special friends and close colleagues who made up his extended family. Bot will always be remembered for his contagious laughter and smiles, his warm, loving, comedic personality, his exceptional work ethic and sense of duty, and an unwavering loyalty to the people he cared for. Bot was predeceased by his brother, Amado Jr, his father, Amado Sr., and his mother, Teresa. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 - family and friends will gather for the visitation at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Saviour Roman Catholic Church, 17 Stevens Ave, Marathon, Ontario. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Saviour Roman Catholic Church with Father Gino Mathew, Father Terry Sawchuk and Father Michael Asorgoe officiating. Reception to follow at The Loyal Order of the Moose, 6 Stevens Ave, Marathon, Ontario.
