Mrs Françoise Marie Ange Fullum
(Née Gagnon) 10 of 19

12 April 1938 – 12 September 2017

Françoise passed away peacefully at the Geraldton District Hospital with loved ones by her side during the early morning hours of Tuesday September 12, 2017 at the age of 79. Françoise was the 10th of 19 children born to Bernard and Albertina Gagnon in Mattice, Ontario. Françoise will forever be remembered for her strength and the love she had for her family and friends. A true love story began when she met the love of her life, a handsome young man named Rival of Gaspé, QC in 1954. On July 2nd 1956 the two were wed in Mattice, Ontario. Later that year they moved to Geraldton and were blessed with their first son Perry (Gisele). They relocated to Calstock in 1957 where Rival worked for Lecour Lumber. They had two more sons, Normand in 1958, and Alain (Wynona) was born in 1959. In 1961 they settled in Geraldton. Françoise worked at Wellwood and Bell Canada as a switchboard operator, during which time in 1971 she gave birth to their 4th son Rival Jr. “Nook” (Debra).  She is survived  by her siblings Cécile, Monique, Doris (Réjean), Guy ( Ghislaine), Adrienne (Jean-Louis), Geatane, Hélène  and Geatan (Terry).  Loving mémère to Hope, Stéphanie, Dawni, Danna, Devin, Madisonlee, Isabelle and Audrey.

Françoise loved travelling and meeting new people which turned into everlasting friendships. Locally she enjoyed going fishing and could be found having coffee with friends. Françoise will be fondly remembered for her many years of teaching line dancing, playing cards, knitting “des pantouffes”, and countless hours volunteering with various clubs and organizations. Rival and Françoise happily celebrated 61 years of marriage last summer surrounded by an extensive list of family members at the Gagnon Family reunion in Moonbeam. What brought her the most pride and joy was the title of Mrs. Hockey “mom” to all four of her boys. But perhaps what brought her even more happiness was when her sons blessed her with 6 grandchildren… who all 6 of them grew up in hockey skates, just like their dads.
