Gisèle Pominville née Boulanger

Gisèle est décédée le 23 mai 2019 à l’hôpital du district de Geraldton.  Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Laurent ainsi que ses enfants : Carol (Lori) de Thunder Bay, Lise (Mike) de Geraldton et Natalie (Thomas) de Geraldton.  Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères et sœurs : Yvette (feu Claude) de Hearst, feu Ronald (feue Joyce), Roger (Ella) de Ajax, Jean-Marc (Estelle) de Sudbury, feu Adrien (Joan) de Richmond Hill, Carmen (Oscar) de Geraldton, Laurette (Léo) de Sturgeon Falls, Gaby (Dorene) de Nakina, feu Jocelyne (Michael) de Gabriola Island, Isabelle (George) de Hearst, Ginette (Johnny) de Smooth Rock Falls et Michel (Micheline) de Casselman; ainsi que ses quatres petits enfants : Michelle Pile Curtis, Stéfan Pominville, Amanda Pile et Lee Pominville et ses arrières petits enfants : Danielle & Noah Curtis et MacKenzie & Amelia Clark.  Gisèle a vu le jour à Hearst, 4ième d’une grande famille canadienne française.  Elle a marié Laurent en 1957, ont eux 3 enfants, et ont vécu dans le nord de l’Ontario toute leur vie.  Elle était amateur de motoneige, ski de fond, pêche, golf ainsi que couturière pour sa famille.  Sa grande croyance a formée sa propre famille telle qu’elle est aujourd’hui.  Sa fierté de grand-maman et Nana se reflétait dans les yeux de tous ses petits enfants.  Gisèle adorait aller au café le matin avec ses sœurs et ses amies.  Elle était passionnée par la nature, du clair de lune et des hirondelles au printemps.  Elle nous quitte en sachant qu’elle sera toujours notre bel ange gardien.  La famille recevra les condoléances le 27 mai 2019 à partir de 12h à l’église Ste-Thérèse.  La messe célébrée par Hugo Tremblay, prêtre,  aura lieu à l’église Ste-Thérèse à 13h.  Vos dons à la paroisse Ste-Thérèse ou à la société de l’arthrite seront grandement appréciés.

The family announces with sorrow Gisèle’s death at the Geraldton District Hospital on May 23, 2019.  Beloved wife of Laurent and dearest mother of: Carol (Lori) of Thunder Bay, Lise (Mike) of Geraldton and Natalie (Thomas) of Geraldton. She is survived by her brothers and sisters : Yvette (the late Claude) of Hearst, the late Ronald (the late Joyce), Roger (Ella) of Ajax, Jean-Marc (Estelle) of Sudbury, the late Adrien (Joan) of Richmond Hill, Carmen (Oscar) of Geraldton, Laurette (Léo) of Sturgeon Falls, Gaby (Dorene) of Nakina, the late Jocelyne (Michael) of Gabriola Island, Isabelle (George) of Hearst, Ginette (Johnny) of Smooth Rock Falls and Michel (Micheline) of Casselman.  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Michelle Pile Curtis, Stéfan Pominville, Amanda Pile and Lee Pominville and her great-grandchildren: Danielle & Noah Curtis and MacKenzie & Amelia Clark. 

Gisèle was the 4th born of a large French Canadian family in Hearst. She married Laurent in 1957, had 3 children and they lived most of their life in Northern Ontario. She enjoyed snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fishing, golfing, and was an excellent seamstress.  Her faith molded her family to what it is today. The pride she had for her grand children and great grand children was one that only a grandmother could have. She loved her morning coffee routine with her sisters and friends. She really appreciated nature, the beauty of the moon and the swallows in the spring.  She leaves us knowing that she is our beautiful guardian angel.  Friends will be received at St-Theresa RC church on Monday, May 27, 2019 as of noon.  A funeral mass will be held at St-Theresa RC church on Monday at 1pm with Father Hugo Tremblay officiating.  Donations to St-Theresa Parish or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
