Mrs. Jacqueline Mae Kerr nee Christensen

The family announces that Jackie passed to a better place in Thunder Bay Regional Hospital on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at the age of 75 years.  Loving wife of 50 years to Robert Warren and tender mother to daughters Shanon Odell and Rhonda Elizabeth.  She also leaves behind a wonderful son in law Michael Joseph O’Connell and a cherished granddaughter Grace Maureen Mae O’Regan.  She is survived by her only sibling Jane Jantunen. 

Jackie received her qualifications from Lakehead Teacher’s College, then taught at the Geraldton Public School briefly.  After marriage she moved to Manitouwadge and spent the remainder of her working life as a primary teacher in the Manitouwadge Public School.  She took great joy in being able to guide her students to the joy in learning; instilling in them the satisfaction of their accomplishments.

The family will be forever grateful to the many doctors, nurses, social workers and care givers who were able to make her comfortable and able to spend her last two months in her beloved home on the lake. 

Her loving and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and many friends and students whose lives she touched. 

At her request, there will be no immediate memorial service.   The family will hold a celebration of life next July and all friends and neighbours are welcome.
