Karl Fisher

September 15, 1966 ~ October 18, 2017 (age 51) 51 Years Old

Fisher, Karl Joseph,

Ojibwe member of Long Lake #58.

Family announce with sorrow his death in Thunder Bay at the age of 51.  He leaves behind his beloved mother Agnes, daughter Kyla, sister’s Eleanor, Brenda (Peter), Angie (Lloyd), Lucy (Morris), Melinda (Adolph), Sylvia, Emily, Audrey and Phyllis, his brother’s Robert and Terry. He is pre-deceased by his Baba Rayno Fisher, his brother’s Geleneau and Larry and  sister’s Elaine and Pat.  He will be sadly missed by numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.

Karly enjoyed and loved his bush life. Fishing, hunting, trapping and camping were some of his favorites especially when surrounded by family.  He felt totally connected with nature, he loved his nature walks and paddling down the river.  Karly inherited his father’s (baba) peace and kindness, although his illness burdened him, he still successfully created a way to devote his time to love his nephews, who stood by him closely. He had a special laugh that many would catch anywhere at any time. His close friends were there to give a helping hand when needed. Family and friends, always remember to go for a stroll down the nature trail or sit by the river to remember the laughter and joy he brought to many.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday October 20th as of 6pm at the Longlake #58 First Nation Community Hall followed by a Funeral Service on Saturday at 2pm.
