He is survived by his mother Nada Chenier; his eleven siblings Jackie Doucet (Hector), Elaine Sheedy (Rae), Robert Chenier (Jean), Lorraine Psarras (Panos), Laurent Chenier (Francine), Paul Chenier (Fran), Paulette Ellis (Peter), Daniel Chenier (Jessica), Joanne Chenier, Rosanne Portelance (Hector), Carmen Pavlakos (Nick); his sister-in-laws Judy Kilby & Brenda Mercer (Kevin) as well as many nieces & nephews and countless friends. He was predeceased by his father Lucien Chenier, his father-in-law Gordon Mercer, his mother-in-law Elsie Mercer, his brother-in-law Wayne Mercer and his sister-in-law Linda Mercer.
Moe was born and raised in Hanmer, Ontario, hired on the Canadian National Railway in 1972, married his cherished wife in 1973, following a move to Hornepayne in 1985 where he raised his family. Moe was a kind, caring, selfless man who cherished and loved his family unconditionally. He was a devoted Montreal Canadiens fan, loved Rock n’ Roll, especially “The Beatles”, loved fishing and treasured many great moments at Nagagamisis. He spent many hours reading books, doing crossword puzzles and undertaking woodworking projects. Moe prepared many meals over the years; he was a good cook - the best cook, who made exceptional gravy! Moe loved and carried Jesus in his heart. It gives us comfort knowing he will be in Jesus’ arms for eternity.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations to the Hornepayne Community Hospital would be appreciated. Messages of condolence may be placed at the Residence funeraire Fawcett Funeral Home website at www.rfffh.com
