Phyllis Thibodeau (1941-2019)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Phyllis Bernice Thibodeau (nee Kenzle) announce her passing, with loved ones by her side, on October 28, 2019 at the age of 78. Phyllis is now with her one true love, her husband Charlie. She is predeceased by her brother Lennard, and parents Fred and Dorothy Kenzle. She leaves her passion of life to live on through her children, Lennard (Christina) Thibodeau, Lori (Andre) Belzile and Donna (Alain) Pelletier, and her sister Myrna Matthews. Nana’s cookies, warm welcomes, and guidance will be missed deeply by her grandchildren, Charlie (Courtney), Leena (Ryan), Coryn (Nick), Allison (Tim), Robin (Trisha) and Brian (Brianna). Nothing made Nana happier than seeing her great grandchildren, Noah, Liam, Sophia, Mitchell, Owen and Edward, who will grow up hearing stories of how wonderful of a person she was.
Phyllis was born on February 9, 1941 in Benito, Manitoba. As an infant her family moved to Geraldton, where she lived her entire life. In 1961 she married Charlie Thibodeau and so the adventure began. Phyllis’s happiest times were spent with her close-knit family and friends. She loved to go to the bush with Charlie to work on their logging operations. Phyllis was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was happiest when spending time with them. She was a wonderful baker, seamstress, knitter and quilter (just to name a few) and her love of these was evident in her beautiful creations. Her home was a gathering place where all were welcome and many wonderful memories will be cherished by those who have had the privileged of being a part of Phyllis’s life.
Friends and family are welcome to gather in celebration of Phyllis’s life on Saturday, November 2nd at 11 o’clock in the morning at the Anglican church in Geraldton. Donations may be made in her memory to TBRHSC – Northern Cardiac Fund or the Geraldton District Hospital.
