Alain (Red) Timmermans
The family announces with great sorrow and a heavy heart the passing of Red on September 10th, 2023 in Geraldton at the age of 68. Red was born March 21st, 1955 in Hearst, ON. He enjoyed the great outdoors and being on the lake fishing, in the bush hunting and enjoying a cold one (Carling). He never missed the Leafs play and he was phenomenal at snooker, darts and had a great poker face. If he wasn’t chasing partridge, he was chasing blueberries.
He was a skilled heavy equipment operator at Domtar for over 20 years. A proud member of both the Knights of Columbus and the Royal Canadian Legion in Geraldton. He cultivated and enjoyed deep, life-long friendships. Furthermore, he was a fun-loving man with a heart of gold.
Red is survived by his son, Steven (Melissa), daughter, Stephanie (Paul) and his grandchild Dallas and step-grandchild Drayden. He treasured his mother (Constance), his brothers and sisters; Aline (Gerry) Royer, Anita Timmermans, John (Carol) Timmermans, Michelle (Pierre) Nystrum, sister-in-law Donna (Rocky); and his nieces and nephews; Claude (Maria), Tom, Tony, Michelle, Valerie, Aaron and Josh.
He is predeceased by his father Robert, brother Rocky, and nephew Louis.
A Funeral Mass will take place Monday, September 18th, 2023 at 11AM at St Theresa R.C. Church in Geraldton.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate it if you could share a special memory on the digital guestbook.
