Alfred Doi

November 29, 1941 - January 24, 2023

Mr. Alfred (Alfie) Doi passed peacefully on January 24, 2023 in Geraldton after a brief battle with cancer. 

Alfie worked for Kimberly-Clark for most of his career, retiring in 2000. He spent much of his time at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 as an Executive member and ‘social’ member playing pool and participating in golf and curling tournaments. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. 

Alfie is survived by his wife Iris, daughters Sheila (Steven, Ella and Evan) and Carol (Paul), sons Mitchell and Richard (Carmen), sister Cathy (Tony), brothers-in-law Melvin and Greg (Francine) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Alfie was predeceased by parents Fred and Kay, brothers Fred Jr. and Ron, in-laws, Art, Elna, Art Jr., Brian and Ernie. 

As per Alfie’s wishes, no service will be held. 

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Geraldton District Hospital, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, and Home and Community Care Support Services North West for their care and compassion, with a special thanks to Cathy King.
