Ms Amanda Kirsten Meshake-Kashkish
On February 29, 2020 you started the journey to the spirit world to join our ancestors. It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Amanda Kirsten Meshake Kashkish.
She was in senior year at the Johnny Therriault School. Amanda tried to enjoy school and she loved classes to be with her friends, she loved classes like arts, crafts and music. Amanda enjoyed the class trips like the one to Ottawa, she aspired to become the best person ever.
Amanda brought so much joy in our lives and to those who were around her. She loved her family time enjoyed traditional life like fishing times on the homelands specifically at the Ogoki/Anaconda Bridge.
She is sorrowfully missed by all who knew her, specifically her family, mother Tanya Kashkish and Father Derek Meshake sister Alyssa, brothers Jakob, Daxton and Jaylen. Amanda also was raised in the traditional customary care of Baba Godfrey, Nana Ester and Randy. Friendship to Amanda was great she honored her special kinship with Dawson, they all loved to go for adventurous rides listening to music how she loved her music. She would be seen singing and dancing with her four legged friend Asher. Amanda will also be greatly missed by her huge family, aunts, uncles, cousins each member had a very, very, special relationship with her. Amanda was predeceased by her great-grandparents Alice and George Kashkish and Grandmother Brenda Megan.
She touched the lives of so many; our beloved, shining, happy teen, the light of our lives and the star of our heart and leaves us smiling through our tears. She was joy personified. Please spread her message of love, dance and laughter and be good to one another as our homelands are one big loving family.
