Andréa Lachance Obituary

Monsieur Andréa Lachance est décédé el 26 mai 2020 à l’âge de 85 ans et 11 mois, à l’hôpital de Geraldton. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Huguette Fortier Lachance ainsi que ses enfants Murielle et Serge (Pierrette) de Longlac et Hugo (Nicole) de Fort McMurray. Il était aussi le père de feu, Renaud Lachance, décédé seulement quelques mois passés. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses petits-enfants Christine, Samuel (Christine), Cédric (Kayli), Kayla (Bob) et Stéphane (Quinton), ainsi que ses arrières petits-enfants Mégan, Rosalie, Kaden et Jackson. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil sa sœur Monique Lachance de Trois-Rivières ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Andréa est né à St.Gédéon de Beauce le 27 juin 1934. Il est arrivé à Longlac en 1957 avec sa femme Huguette et sa première née, Murielle. Il a travaillé pour la Kimberly Clark durant une période de presque 36 ans dans l’exploitation forestière. Il a terminé sa carrière comme propriétaire et opérateur de camions lourds pour l’industrie forestière. Il aimait la chasse, la pêche et surtout de passer du temps au chalet avec sa famille et ses amis.

Mr. Andréa Lachance passed away at the Geraldton District Hospital on May 26th 2020 at the age of 85 years and 11 months. Beloved husband of Huguette Fortier Lachance and dearest father of Murielle and Serge (Pierrette) of Longlac, and Hugo (Nicole) of Fort McMurray. He was also the father of pre-deceased Renaud Lachance, who passed away just a few months ago. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Christine, Samuel (Christine), Cedric (Kayli), Kayla (Bob), and Stefan (Quinton), as well as his great-grandchildren Mégan, Rosalie, Kaden, and Jackson. He is survived by his sister Monique Lachance from Trois-Rivières and many nieces and nephews that were very dear to him.

Andréa was born in St. Gédéon de Beauce on June 27th 1934. He arrived in Longlac with his wife Huguette and his first born Murielle. He worked for Kimberly Clark for almost 36 years in the logging industry, finishing his career as a truck owner and operator. He loved to hunt and fish. He especially enjoyed spending time at the cottage with family and friends.

Due to the circumstances of the pandemic, a funeral mass will be held at a later date.
