Andre Peter Luckasavitch
It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of their brother Andre in Longlac on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the age of 49. Beloved son of the late Mary and Rene Luckasavitch and brother to the late Eldon Luckasavitch. He leaves in mourning his siblings Brenda (Patrick) Beaudry of Cochrane, Melinda Luckasavitch of Richmond Hill and Lloyd Luckasavitch of Longlac. Andre cared deeply for his nieces and nephews Sam, Kayla, Kim, Julien, Kaitlyn, Rene, Brianna and Savanna. Known to his many great nephews as Uncle Smiley - the boys brought him a lot of laugher and love: Leland, Mathieu, Kyle, Obadiah, Griffin, Cohan, Ori, Malachi, Madden, Dawson and baby Cox to be.Andre will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Andre was proud of his Polish heritage and wasn’t shy about sharing what he knew about his roots with others. He also had a passion for war memorabilia - especially Snoopy and the Red Barron. He loved all genres of movies and music; and his beloved collection was known to many. He enjoyed outdoor hobbies like fishing and hunting- he loved to go out to try and catch a big one!
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd at St John the Baptist R.C.Church in Longlac at 10:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Andre will be laid to rest at the family plot in Sturgeon Falls at a later date. For those wishing memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
