Anita Moffatt 1956-2022
It is with great sorrow that the families of Mrs. Anita Moffatt announce her passing on the evening of August 12th, 2022 at the Geraldton District Hospital. Anita was such a gentle woman, so patient and kind. She had a radiant smile suited with her quiet but witty personality. When she cracked out of her shell around those she loved the most, it was the best sight to see; picture the music coming on, her dance moves coming out, and people moving out of the way, cause odds are you’re about to get a long leg to the head, but boy did she know how to make you laugh.. Aside from her talent for dancing, she was an incredible cook, and impeccable woodworker in her pass-time. Above all things though, Anita was a loving wife to the love of her life for 50 years, Mr Richard Moffatt, and devoted mother to her two boys; Kevin (Silvie Moffatt)& Jason (Vicky Forget) Moffatt. Anita learned her patience in life dealing with the abundance of shenanigans her boys, Richard included, would get into, but one thing's for sure, there is nobody whom she adored more in her lifetime. Anita was such an important person to so many… Amongst the many who will miss her are her two grandchildren whom she loved very much, Amber Moffatt (Brandon Byerley) & Alex Moffatt (Dulcee Smith), her great-grandchildren; Hudson Byerley & Bowen Byerley whom she was so happy to watch grow up, her sisters Nicole Hebert, Micheline Bedard and her brother Norman Hebert, all of who she cherished dearly. Anita is also predeceased by her parents; Rejeanne Bois & Andre Hebert, and her brothers Donald & Bernard Hebert.
The saying goes “Those we love never truly leave us, there are things that death cannot touch, and those are the memories.” Anita was a woman you were thankful to have in your life, and we will forever carry the beautiful memories we have of her near and dear to our hearts… True love cannot be bound, and so we find peace in knowing Anita has reunited with her love. Her heart is whole again, her suffering has ended and she is now dancing an eternity away with Richard.
Rest in paradise Anita, and know you will be loved & remembered always
