The family announces with sorrow his death at the Geraldton District Hospital on September 29, 2023 at the age of 92.  Beloved husband of Claudette Viel (nee Tremblay) and loving father to Rino Viel , Sylvie Cargnelutti (Tony), Linda Blouin (Rene), Bridgette Chabot (Donald) and Jacinthe Viel .  He will be sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren.

Aurelien was a true family man who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help.  He loved working with his hands building custom cabinets and stairs.  He loved playing guitar and singing with his family whenever there was a gathering. We will miss his jokes, comradery, his smile and his big heart.  He will be missed by all that knew him.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. John the Baptist R.C Church in Longlac on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00am.  For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada
