Bernadette Michon

Bernadette Angela Michon aged 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 18, 2020 at the Geraldton District Hospital, surrounded by family.

Bernadette was born July 21, 1961 in Thunder Bay at McKeller Hospital.  Bernadette's first home was MacDiarmid Ontario.  The family moved to Geraldton in 1964, where she attended both B.A. Parker and Geraldton Composite High School, graduating in 1980.  Bernie then became a longtime resident of Thunder Bay, a city she loved along with the friends she made there.

In Thunder Bay, Bernadette worked primarily in the service industry where she excelled as a team player and mentor to many.  She spent 30 plus years as a dedicated employee with the Prospector Restaurant where her exemplary work ethic has been acknowledged and held in high regard by her employer and those she trained.

When not working, Bernie also enjoyed her nights with her "Office" pals often singing Karaoke. Her friendly and joyous nature made a great and lasting impression on all those who knew her.  Bernie's first love however was her Mother, father and siblings. She always made time to come back home where she enjoyed making us laugh, particularly taking on and embracing the role of Santa Claus. 

She is predeceased by her parents Elsie and Lloyd Michon, and sister Beatrice Michon. Benadette is survived by her siblings; Ernest ( Manon ) Michon, Clarence Michon, Vivian Michon and Brian Michon. She has two nephews; Aaron ( Cathleen ) Michon and Lennox Michon.
