Claudette Rivest

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving mother, Claudette Rivest (née Boucher) on January 7th, 2023 at the Geraldton District Hospital at the age of 85.

Claudette was born on February 28th, 1937 and was the tenth of eleven children.

She is survived by her sister Jeanine Morin, her children René, Carole, Joël (Guylaine), Sylvie (Donald), Michel (Claudette), Irène (Rob), grandchildren Daniel, Gregory, Christine, Deseree, Roch, Kelirae, Christian, Julien and Zach, great grandchildren Braden, Isabelle, Kyle, Talia, Maddox, Brielle, great great grandchildren Eastyn, Westyn and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband Henri Gelinas, mother Léa Boucher (née Aumont) father Albert Boucher, brothers and sisters Germaine Robert (Hervey), Roland Boucher (Suzanne), Marguerite Boutin (Louis), Aurèle Boucher (Lucie), Gérard Boucher (Thérèse), Claire Francis (Louis), René Boucher (Yvette), Roger Boucher (Florence), André Boucher and her brother-in-law Rosaire Morin

Claudette was an amazing, strong, giving and caring women. The love she had for her family was exceptionally precious to her. She loved people, music and mostly certainly enjoyed the pleasure of company. She is loved and will be missed by all.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 14th at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 1:00pm followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion in Geraldton.
