It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fernand “Kenny” Levesque, age 83, on Tuesday January 4, 2022 at the Geraldton District Hospital. Fern passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Fern enjoyed the outdoors fishing, hunting and camping with friends and family. He worked as a cutter, then a heavy equipment operator with Kimberly Clark and retired with Neenah Paper. He also ran a chain saw shop where he kept busy in the evenings and weekends prior to retirement.
The last few years of life he lived at John Owen Evans Residence in Geraldton which he enjoyed playing crib with his friends and kept the staff on their toes with his joking mannerism. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Monique (Daniel) Gosselin, Kenneth (Holly) Levesque, and his grandchildren Stephane (Nicole), Jacob, Kiara and Madison.
He is also survived by his siblings Marcelle, Laurette, Sylvio (Micheline), Normande, Mariette (Terry), Roseanne (Fred), Guy (Susan), Normand (Reina), and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Wilfred Levesque and Alexina Roussy; brothers Gerald, Gaston, Rene, Ronald and sister Gilberte.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held later this summer. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Society Central & Northern Ontario or Geraldton District Hospital.
