MR. GABRIEL  ACHNEEPINESKUM

The family announces with sorrow his death at the Geraldton District Hospital on February 14, 2020 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Helen Achneepineskum and dearest father of: Stephen (Cindy) of Thunder Bay, Robert (Jacqueline) of Geraldton, Audrey (Nicholas) of Geraldton, Waylon (Brenda) of Ogoki and William (Thomastine) of Thunder Bay. He is survived by his brother and sisters: Mary of Geraldton, Rosie (Elbert) of Thunder Bay, Martha (Sam) of Thunder Bay, Dominic of Fort Hope and Stella (Fred) of Thunder Bay. He will be sadly missed by 42 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his parents: Patrick and Madeline; his children: Jordan, Kathy, Billy and Lorraine; and his sisters: Daisy, Hannah, Annie and Flora. Gabriel ws a loving father to his children, step-children and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was like a father figure to many of his younger siblings. He loved them very much. Gabriel enjoyed the spring hunt, and in the summer, he loved fishing. Winter was a time for trapping. Gabriel enjoyed his sports. His two teams were the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. Family and friends will be received at Fawcett Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 18th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm with a luncheon to follow at the St. Theresa Parish hall. The interment will take place at a later date.
