Geraldine Baxter

The family announces with sorrow the passing of their dear mother, Geraldine Baxter on November 3, 2021 at the age of 83 . 

She is survived by her children Wilma Baxter – Shabogamik (Casey), Larry Baxter (Hilda), Les Baxter (Kay), Kendra Nate and her eldest sister Charlotte Legarde. She will be sadly missed by her 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Geraldine was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, John George Baxter, her daughter Loretta, her parents John and Marie Mendowegan and her siblings John Jr., Bella, Bruce Sr., Joseph and Christine.

Geraldine’s family was the number one focus in her life.  She was always cooking and baking for her family and friends, especially around the holidays.  She loved to sew, go camping with her family and travelling (she was always on the go).  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  Her presence will be missed in her community and the surrounding communities. 

Due to COVID, a private Funeral Service will be held at her home in Nakina.

As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, a record of attendance must be maintained. Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet is mandatory for those attending.
