Glenn Earl Priest.
The family announces with sorrow his passing at Hornepayne, On the 6th day of September 2020, peacefully in his sleep at the tender age of 93 years. Beloved husband of Marian . Dearest , much loved and respected dad of George (Cheryl) of Port Alberni, British Columbia; Marjorie (Vincent) of Kamloops BC, Brian (Theresa) of Kearney Ont, and Edith (Dennis) of Sudbury Ont. He is survived by his older brother Gordon Priest (Betty) of Kingston Ontario.
He will be sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 13 lively great grandchildren.
Glenn and Marian began their life together in 1952 in Mimico. They moved to Hornepayne where Glenn worked on the CN Railroad where they brought their two small children and added two more. He enjoyed 34 years of retirement. He was active in Municipal Politics and served as councillor and Reeve for a time. He was a Mason, an avid fisherman and had an awesome memory for potholes, fine doughnuts and The Cremation of Sam McGee. He was a wonderful dad, a devoted husband and he will be missed by many many people.
Family and friends will gather at the Legion for the ceremony. As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, the attendance at the funeral is restricted to 30% capacity or less and a record of attendance must be maintained. Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet is mandatory for those attending the services.
