Peacefully on December 23, 2021 at the Geraldton District Hospital at the age of 82, just 12 days after the passing of his beloved wife, Grace.
Graham was born in Brentwood England on August 24, 1939 and resided at the Orsett Estate in England with his parents Arthur and Nora Bloomfield and his siblings Douglas, Rosemary, Dorothy and Dawn. Graham joined the RAF at the age of 16 in 1955 and trained in Germany as an Armorer of Aircraft such as the Hawker Hunter, Gloster Meteor, Canberra Bomber and the F6 Lighting from 1959-1961. Graham served in the Island of Singapore during its independence from 1964-1967 where he received the Malay Peninsula General Service Medal. He also served in the Island of Bahrain, Persian Gulf from 1968-1969 where he received the Borneo General Service Medal. He was honorably discharged on July 26, 1969 at the end of the campaign with exemplary conduct. Graham immigrated to Canada on November 24, 1975 and married the love of his life, Grace May McAfee on June 12, 1976. He worked for the Ministry of Environment in Pickle Lake in 1977. He joined the Royal Canadian Legion in 1978 and moved to Geraldton with Grace a year later. He was commissioned to Second Lieutenant of the Canadian Armed Forces on March 1, 1988. He joined the Robert Frost Branch 133 Royal Canadian Legion in Geraldton on July 2, 1988. He was awarded the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal on March 15, 1993. He was also a supporting member of the Geraldton Horticultural Society.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Fund or the John Owen Evans Residence.
