Gus Majiskon

The family announces with sorrow the passing of their beloved father, Gus Majiskon, on Friday October 22nd at the Geraldton District Hospital at the age of 74.

He will be sadly missed by his children Adrienne Majiskon (Wayne), Ian Magiskan, Eunice Magiskan, Ginette Magiskan (Miguel), Jonah Magiskan his nephew Bobby Narcisse and his great nieces Ayvah and Marianne.

He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren and great granddaughters Jill, Fernado, Ethan, Megan, Taylor, Dante, Marcel, Liam, Kai, Johannah, Kymari, Wyatt, Frankie, Zara and Dakotah.  He will also be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews.

Gus is predeceased by his wife Shirley, his daughter Phyllis, his sister Marianne Narcisse and his parents Edmond and Cecilia Majiskon.

His family was the love of his life, who he treasured with all of his heart. Gus loved spending time out at his trapline with his family and friends where they would spend months at a time living off the land and learning the traditional way of life.  He loved fishing, hunting and playing Bingo (which he was very lucky at) and he was known to be quite the joker at times

Visitation will be held at 29 Pine Street in Aroland on Tuesday October 26th as of 6pm.  Family and friends are welcome to at attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday October 28th at 12 noon at the Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church in Aroland.

As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet is mandatory for those attending.
