Henri Dufour

Mr. Henri Dufour, age 90 years, passed away at the Geraldton District Hospital on October 4, 2021 with loved ones by his side.

Henri was born in Lac St Paul, Quebec on December 22, 1930. He married Jeannine Grandmont on December 30, 1952.  They settled in Geraldton and raised two children.  Henri’s greatest passion was his family and spending time with all of them was his biggest joy.  He was very proud of his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Henri worked for Kimberly Clark for many years where he retired at the age of 62 years. He also loved many things such as spending time in the bush getting firewood, snowmobiling as a younger man but I have to say he truly loved vehicles, he could spend hours walking around a dealership lot and read through magazines at all the newest models.  Henri will be loved forever and deeply missed by all his family.

Henri is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jeannine; children Suzanne, Donald (Sylvie); grandchildren Tammy, Michelle, Christine (Samuel Lachance), Roch as well as great grandchildren Joelle, Gabrielle and Brielle.

As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, the attendance is restricted to 55 people at St. Theresa R.C. Church and a record of attendance must be maintained. Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet is mandatory for those attending.
