Ian Shaganash

Ian Wyatt Shaganash of Longlac, Ontario passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2020 at the age of 29. 

Ian was born in Geraldton, Ontario on January 07, 1991 to Priscilla Shaganash and was raised in Longlac and most of his youth in Hillsport during the summer. Ian attended Marjorie Mills Public School, and Geraldton Composite Highschool. Ian, very proudly received his Underground common core certificate, as well as a (wood) grader certificate. Ian was a spirited, bright young man who loves being with family!

Ian is predeceased by his grandfather Angus Shaganash and Nanny, Hannah Shaganash. Ian is survived by his mother Priscilla Shaganash, and his siblings Natasha, and Justin, as well as his nieces Hana, Alyssa, Katie. He leaves behind his common-law partner Jocelyn Shea and his stepson's Jayden and Damen. As well as numerous Aunts, uncles, cousin's, and many many friends.

Ian was loved beyond measure by his family and friends. Anyone who has ever had the privilege of crossing paths with Ian would say he had a contagious smile and made you feel loved and treasured, and always had a hug for you. Ian enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, trapping, skidooing, and had a passion for building bikes. Ian loved being in the bush with his nanny and mishume. He enjoyed listening to Kevin Gates and Yellawolf. He cherished the time spent with his boys and three nieces, and little cousins.

Ian touched the lives of so many and will always be remembered. He will remain forever in our hearts. Ian spent the majority of his adult life working on the railroad with contract companies (Swift, Remcan, Platinum) Ian would say, "King of the rail".
