Jennifer Audia Obituary

Miss Jennifer Audia.

It is with heavy hearts we share of Jennifer’s sudden passing on Wednesday, October 12th 2022 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.  Jennifer was the eldest daughter of Joseph and Carol Audia (pre-deceased), sister to Jessica and Rebecca, beloved Auntie to Mia.  Fur momma to Deano Binoski.

Jennifer was born and raised in Geraldton.  As the eldest daughter, Jennifer was strong and independent and always one to do her own thing.  At the age of 19 Jennifer began her career with the Superior Greenstone Association for Community Living.  Jennifer’s giving nature was obvious by the fact she continued in the same work for over 30 years.  She genuinely cared for the people she supported and went above and beyond to give of herself to them.  She had a bond with the folks at 511 and they truly were her extended family.

Jennifer will be remembered by family and friends for her quick wit and sense of humour.  Jennifer enjoyed trips to the Dominican with the girls and spending summers at camp with Auntie Grace, Uncle Buddy and the cousins at the same time talking about the next outing to go blueberry picking.

Her family would like to thank all of Jennifer’s friends who sent cards, food and flowers or came for a visit.  The family would also like to acknowledge the support of Sharon Groeneveld and Vicki Ritch (Abraham).  We also want to acknowledge Trish Kolody of Fawcett Funeral Home who is a long-time family friend.

We would also like to thank our extended family for their love and encouragement:  John Audia (Diane) of Orillia ON, Tony (Sondra) of Orillia ON, Sam (Monica) Audia of Peterborough ON, Peter (Jeanette) Maeba of Toronto ON, Miki (Dan) Gillis of Roberts Creek BC, Frances Fry of Marathon ON and Reiko Trudeau (Robert) of Thunder Bay ON as well as Jennifer’s cousins from the Audia and Maeba families.

We would also like to recognize the compassionate care of Dr. Roberto and Nurse Kayla of 3C ICU at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.  A thank you as well to Dr. Zufelt of the Greenstone Family Health Team.

Family and Friends are invited to attend Jennifer's Service on Tuesday, October 25th at 1:00pm at Fawcett Funeral Home.(Masks are required) The interment of Jennifer’s ashes will take place at a later date.

Donations to Greenstone Want-a-Pet would be appreciated.
