Jerry Henry Johnson

It is with sadness that the family announce the unexpected passing of Jerry on September 17, 2021 due to natural causes. Jerry was born on January 25, 1952 to George and Irene Johnson, predeceased. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Helen Johnson of forty-two years (and together years prior to marriage) from Geraldton, Ontario.  Jerry is survived by four children: Jamie Shawanamash, Yvonne Johnson Jr., Agnes Johnson and Bill Johnson, all of Geraldton, Ontario. Jerry is also  survived by his brother Peter Johnson (Angelic) Geraldton, and sisters Annie Nicols (Jim) North Bay, Ontario and Barbara Spencer (Dennis) of Terrace, British Columbia, and siblings in Aroland, Ontario.

Jerry was a proud grandfather to nineteen grandchildren, all of Geraldton, Ontario.  Jerry loved the outdoors, fishing, and trapping. He was a MacGyver kind of guy. He also loved playing bingo, doing puzzles, working on crosswords (scratches too) and playing his solitaire game in the mornings. He taught us all well, and we will cherish those memories forever. We love you dad and papa!

Jerry will be resting at his residence at 607 Daneff Crescent, Geraldton Ontario from Wednesday September 29, 2021 to Thursday September 30, 2021.

Funeral Services will be held Friday October 1, 2021 at 11:00am at Pinegrove Cemetery, Geraldton Ontario, at which time he will be laid to rest.

As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, a record of attendance must be maintained. Wearing of masks or face coverings is optional and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet is mandatory for those attending.
