Scott was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and grew up in Beamsville, Ontario. Scott’s passion for computers has been life-long so it only made sense that computers became his career. Upon Graduating from Brock University’s Computer Science Program in 1997 Scott was hired by the Ontario Library Association where he met the love of his life Maria. Although the start of his career took him to Ottawa to work for the Federal Government it was short lived and Scott soon moved to the GTA to be with Maria and closer to his family in the Niagara Peninsula. Throughout his career Scott found employment and held a number of positions with different businesses in the GTA both as a contractor and an employee. Scott married the love of his life on May 20, 2000. Scott, as of late, worked as a Full-Stack Developer for Centrilogic. In 2020 the decision to move from Mississauga to Maria's hometown of Nakina in Northern Ontario was made. Scott was able to continue his work with Centrilogic, he established a small business called Nakina Computers and supported Maria’s dream of opening a small food/cafe establishment called the Nakina Wildflower Market.
Scott lived his life to the fullest with love and respect for all. He treated people the way he wanted to be treated. He was gentle with his words, he was kind and caring. He was a lover of life and adventure. He had a sense of humor and quick wit. He had an inquiring mind. He had an intellect. He was a musician. He loved music - it was a part of who he was. He was a true friend. He was a loving and dedicated husband, brother and son. Those who knew him well know the deep affection that he had for them.
A celebration of Scott’s life will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in the parish hall of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Grimsby, Ontario between 1 and 4 p.m. and as well at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 116 in Nakina, ON on Friday, March 29th, 2024 between 4pm and 7pm.
