Mr. Sidney Jr. Abraham
The family announces with sorrow of his death at his home Ojibwe territory LL#58FN surrounded by family on May 18th, 2021 at the age 46. He will be sadly missed from beloved mother Eleanor, children Starr (Rick), Hailey, Kara-Rai (Denzel), JJ, Rival, Royce, Crosby, Jax, grandchildren Keegan, Alora, Tommy, Ayvin, Olivia & expecting granddaughter, mother of his children Shannon, brothers Aaron, Dillon, Blair-Carla, numerous Aunties and Uncles both sides of the family, numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by: Daughter Saffron, Father Sidney Abraham, Brother Timmy Abraham, Sister Pat Shaganash, Grandparents Jimmy & Frances Abraham, Rayno & Agnes Fisher.
Sid Jr. (Sid the Kid) enjoyed his life playing hockey, baseball and attending powwows. He received his Indian name “Niigana Inini-leading the path”, working with the youth teaching, guiding, planted a seed for the youth to carry on and to move forward, enjoyed helping when it came to sports also had a positive impact coaching sports within the community, he loved the traditional lifestyle with both sides of the families including outings with his cousins many happy memories. Jr liked being called "Baba" he held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He loved dancing to the jig fiddle dance “Red River Jig” was one of a kind, also loved the outdoors, especially mostly spending time with his children, going to tournaments meeting up with his friends, he loved sharing a laugh, making jokes and respecting others to all who were in his presence. Sidney Jr. loved hearing stories of his late grandparents and their traditional ways which he practiced. He loved having a good laugh with his brothers when they were together. Jr was a peaceful person, he was a fighter toward the end he proved that very well. Sidney Jr will be greatly missed from ALL who knew him. His family would like to thank the staff at the TBRHSC and at the Geraldton District Hospital for all the support received.
