Virginia Finlayson Obituary
The family announces the unexpected death of their mother, Virginia Finlayson, at the age of 54 on January 1, 2020.
She leaves behind her beloved children Kirk, Jake and Krystina. She was a caring and loving Nana to Kurtis, Jesse-James, Timothy, Annika, Tyanna, Kirk Jr., Chase, Maddoux, Heidi, Lucius, Peyton, Keenan, Kalyn, Tyrin, Ty, Stoney, Sammirah, Nevaeh, Jalen, Cody and Cedric. She leaves behind her mother, Doris and her siblings Cristal, Vanessa, Derek, Georgette, George and Leslie. She was predeceased by her father William and her two brothers Kenny and William.
Our mother was devoted to her family and she always wanted to make sure we knew that. She spread love and laughter wherever she went and had a great sense of humour. Virginia enjoyed nearly everything especially her family. She loved to play bingo and she loved social outings as she enjoyed to dress herself up. She attended Confederation College for Culinary Arts and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She will be missed by her family, friends and community.
Family and friends are welcome to visit at the Longlake #58 First Nation Community Centre on Tuesday January 14th as of 4pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Longlake #58 Community Centre on Wednesday at 11am.
