Dear Gail,
I am writing this tribute with my sincere regret and sorrow.
I regret that I couldn't see you in the Thunder Bay hospital for the last time on my way to Toronto last December due to a bad weather situation. I regret that I often couldn't come to your home when you invited me to play SkipBo because I was caught up with other chores and duties. I regret that I didn't have enough time to hear more of your life stories because I thought I would have more time to catch up. You left this world so quickly. We were not prepared. During our child raising era, we hardly took our time to mingle together. Only in the last decade did you and I became close and developed such a great friendship. You taught me how to play SkipBo. Playing cards were not my thing before.. I respected and admired your no-nonsense personality; how you were always so true to your heart by embracing your family and friends with big motherly love.
My heart grieves very much knowing that I will never see you again on this earth although I know your spirit continues to live in the higher spiritual realm. I thank you sincerely for touching my heart and I pray that one day I will be seeing you again in the spiritual world. In the meantime, enjoy being reunited with your dear husband Charlie and say hi to him from us. We miss you very much.
With Love and Gratitude
from Shizuko and family (the Maloufs)

I remember Gail from our years in Geraldton and living just down the street from each others homes - my mother Hazel and Ruth were good friends. I remember getting my first bicycle when Gail started dating Charlie and no longer was interested in the bicycle. Thanks Gail.
You will be missed by all who knew you whether we kept in touch or not. You still look so much like you did in your younger years.
May the families keep their great memories of you close to their hearts and trust those memories will give them great comfort over the coming days.
